Manston lorry park closing

Lorries

Heavy goods traffic on Kent’s roads will be running back towards normality from 21st March when the Manston Airport Covid and customs check site will be suspended.  Britain and France have agreed  that EU-bound freight drivers staying less than 48 hours no longer need negative Covid tests.

Freight traffic will instead use the Operation Brock traffic management system between Junctions 8 and 9 on the M20 coastbound carriageway, with one lane for Eurotunnel and the other for Dover.

That means they’ll take a more direct route along the M20 with easier access to a full range of services at the Sevington Inland Border Facility. Lorries using routes outside Brock risk enforcement action, including clamping. https://bit.ly/3rGHcrh
