Kent’s new mobile libraries are now on the county’s roads providing for book hungry residents in the surrounding areas of Ashford, Dover, Maidstone, Northfleet and Sturry during lockdown and beyond.
Five new vehicles have been added to the fleet of Kent County Council’s Libraries, Registration and Archives service. They carry a great range of books and are much more reliable and economical than the older vehicles. They all have access for wheelchairs.
KCC’s mobile libraries served more than 28,000 visitors, giving out nearly 80,000 items according to the latest figures from 2019-20. https://bit.ly/3u2Sbfx
